Meet Katie, The Dive Planner!

Katie is a freelance divemaster and avid traveler from Miami, FL. She is also a travel agent with Dream Vacations, and has developed The Dive Planner to spread her passion for dive travel. She has a slight obsession with stalking sealife and has ventured to many corners of the Earth just to do so. She loves exploring new places, scoring great travel deals, and sharing her experiences with fellow divers and travelers, especially by video. You can trust her to have your best interests at heart, and to create the perfect Dive Plan for you!

Spend a beautiful day at sea, basking in the sun and swimming at local reefs teaming with marine life. Includes snorkels, masks, fins, lunch and beverages. Available for a full or half day, maximum 6 people.

How it started

Katie first learned to dive when she was a teenager with her parents and younger brother in Cozumel, Mexico. They would do a DSD while on vacations thereafter until she eventually got certified while attending college. A cold lake in April in upstate NY was not ideal for getting an OW cert, especially with a drysuit! Moving onto warmer waters, she lived in South Florida for 10 years before advancing her diving skillset during Covid 2020 in Egypt. After taking her first liveaboard in the beautiful Red Sea, she was seriously hooked! She returned to land and joined a student in their EFR/ CPR class on a whim. A week after, she started her divemaster training, because why not?! Thanks to Covid she had far more time to travel and dive, following her passion around the globe to places like Mexico, Galapagos, Costa Rica, Colombia, Barbados, Thailand, and Bali with GoPro and drone in tow to share her experiences. She works as a freelance divemaster along the way and as a travel agent, merging the best of both trades! She looks forward to the opportunity to serve you and share her passion of the underwater world!
